Reunion has the prefect mix of royalties: the delicacies of French, Chinese, Indian and African food in a tropical environment.Although reunion has many types of multicultural food it also has it's local influences from the nearby farms and that is just as popular as the other foods.The main local specialty is curry, a savory stew of meats, fish or shellfish, simmered with garlic, onions, ginger, cloves, turmeric, and other local spices, which is influenced by the Indian heritage of the island. As it was settled and is now ruled over by France, Reunion serves baguette, escargot and other traditional French meals.Believe it or not but reunion also has McDonalds to although it would be smarter if you visited a more traditional style of restaurant.
